Ten years ago, in 2001, twenty young students came together and formed a team to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition. To this day, the team soldiers on towards its goals of providing real-world Science, Technology, Engineering and Math education. This is the story of the robotics team of East York Colligate Institute; Team 907.

Located in Toronto, Ontario, East York Collegiate's robotics team has competed in every FIRST competition since 2002, where we won the "Highest Rookie Seed" award. We pride ourselves on being a friendly yet competitive team, and providing a fun learning experience to those on our team while still maintaining our competitive edge.
We always welcome new members with open arms: we ask for no prerequisite skills or entry fees. Last year, while we only we only had thirteen full-time members (eight students and five mentors), we still made it to the quarterfinals at the Waterloo regional, and the semi-finals at the Toronto East regional. This year, our team's size has drastically increased, which we are more than glad to see, as we are always trying to advocate and promote robotics as a fun and educational experience for everyone involved. As a team, we are always concerned about making robotics an enjoyable and rewarding extracurricular activity for our members.
